Minnesota Job Descriptions
- Location:
Minneapolis MN
- Company Description:
This is a privately held well-known manufacturer of hearing aids, with
over 4000 employees in 20 countries. In my view, given US
demographics, the hearing aid market is a solid growth market even
during a recession. This company is on the forefront of creating
portable audio devices involving cutting-edge audio, digital signal
processing, and electrical engineering technology. The company is
actively growing and offers a career growth path. The benefits
package is among the best that I have encountered. Turnover is
exceptionally low here. Although the company is privately held, there
is a stock bonus plan that HR can explain. The company is located not
far from Minneapolis. I have long admired Minneapolis/St. Paul for
its rich cultural offerings, when one considers that Prince, Prairie
Home Companion, and the Minneapolis Symphony are all there, and that's
probably just the tip of the iceberg. Housing costs are significantly
lower than in Silicon Valley or the inner Belt. Local cities offer
parks, golfing, and good schools. The company is proactive in
sponsoring visa candidates.
